Bonnie Halpern-Felsher
PhD, FSAHM
Bonnie Halpern-Felsher, PhD, is a Professor in the Division of Adolescent Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Stanford University. Her research has focused on understanding and reducing adolescent tobacco use, alcohol and marijuana use, and risky sexual behavior. She is a core member in the UCSF Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education, a Project Co-Leader/CoPI for the NIH and FDA-funded UCSF Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science (TCORS), and a Co-PI for the new UC Merced Cannabis and Nicotine Policy Center. She is the founder and executive director of the Stanford Tobacco Prevention Toolkit.

Megan Jacobs, MPH wears many hats in the building, integration, and analysis of mobile and social network applications for smoking cessation. She is currently Lead, Integrated Product Design for the software development team in the Schroeder Institute for Tobacco Research and Policy Studies at Truth Initiative. Her role there includes product management to develop novel quitting applications/interventions, project management of grant-funded research studies, and client management with external partners who use these products. Megan’s previous public health work has applied technology to behavior change ranging from adolescent sexual health to vaccinations. She received her MPH from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University and is also a graduate and passionate fan of the University of Michigan.

Janelle Jessee
SmokeStoppers Program Instructor, St. Vincent's SWIM Across the Sound
SmokeStoppers is a cancer education program provided by St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation, through SWIM Across the Sound. It has been an integral part of many Connecticut Middle and High School Health Curricula for more than twenty years. Janelle Jessee began smoking as a teen and stopped after participating in our SmokeStoppers cessation class. SmokeStoppers is an inspiring, lively and interactive class presentation on the dangers of vaping, smoking cigarettes and cigars, using chewing tobacco and hookah.
It's important to show the effects of tobacco on the human body with real life stories, participant demonstrations and human lungs damaged from smoking.

Dr. Rob Crane

Dr. Robert Crane, a family physician from Columbus, is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Ohio State University. He has an abiding interest in preventing nicotine addiction and is the founder and president of the Preventing Tobacco Addiction Foundation and president of Tobacco 21. He was co-chair for SmokeFree Columbus, the coalition that helped pass smoke-free legislation in a dozen Central Ohio communities and led to statewide legislation. He is also the recipient of the 2011 Public Health Award from the American Academy of Family Physicians and the 2014 C. Everett Koop Award from the American Lung Association. He lives in the Columbus suburb of Dublin with his wife and three children.
